Pilar Corrias is pleased to present Tschabalala Self’s solo exhibition Home Body, on view across both our gallery spaces from 6 October until 17 December 2022.
Shown alongside a screening of Self’s play Sounding Board (2021), new paintings, drawings, sculptures and functional art objects situate the artist's chorus of imagined characters within intimate, domestic scenes. In addition to her visualisations of the physical trappings of home, Self has fashioned a world where relational dynamics between various archetypes are played out and tensions are stirred.
