Javier Barco (Madrid 1969), studied art in AEPE, in AEDA and El Taller del Prado academy. He also held specific courses on Natural Landscape. His work, of a wide landscape iconography and awarded in numerous occasions, speaks for itself about the light in nature, the selective look of the artist and the importance of expression in the landscape interpretation. Pinazo, Sorolla and other Spanish 'luminists' have inspired this Mediterranean series on 'Els Pallers' from Jávea / Xàbia, those rocky islets between Cabo San Martín / Cap Prim and Portichol / Portixol Island, shaped like straw hays that inspire their name.
