Influenced by comic figures and the consumer world, Ulla Reiters creates impressive mystical sculptures out of the unconventional material foam. The artist consciously processes the material in classical sculpture technique: The figures are cut directly from the block with weaving scissors and dissecting cutlery. Ulla Reiter lives and works in Bamberg, Germany. Florian Fausch’s way of painting is very complex, by bringing divergent objects formally to an entity. In this case, the colour takes the double role as illusionist means and as material released from the mimetic task. Sometimes the image area seams to be for Florian Fausch the experimental field for the different kinds of uses of colours separated from the objects according to the varieties of the recent art history. Dominik Schmitt comes from the deep south of Germany, from a town called Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. His artworks comprise paintings and drawings, but also video art. Thematically he addresses subjectivity as well as questions about art and its conception. Despite all modernity Schmitt makes formal use of elements of the Renaissance and christian iconography.
