Abstract:
Marcin Jasik, born in 1990 in Warsaw, visual artist, painter, author of objects and sculptures. Graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He earned the diploma in the field of painting in the studio of professor Wojciech Cie?niewski with a sculpture specialization in the studio of professor Jakub ??cki. He took part in many individual and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 2022, he was a finalist in the STRABAG Artaward International in Vienna, Austria. The artist's works are in private and institution collections such as the Svetlik Art Foundation, STRABAG Artcollection and the Mbank Collection.<br>

Marcin Jasik's paintings are a constant search in the area of the painterly language of abstraction. The artist draws inspiration from both his own experiences and the history of painting, by re-processing iconic images or motifs. What is visible in his works is free, intuitive utterance, however, guided by a conscious system of meanings and logic forms. These seemingly contradictory forms emphasize the narrative structure in pictures. The final result is a clear composition with which the artist asks questions about the nature of human existence.
