Raque Ford presents a new body of work in her first solo exhibition at Greene Naftali. Nighttime Grudge or How I Wanted to be a Rockstar features large-scale prints, wall-mounted works in acrylic, and a series of free-standing sculptures, all of which make use of the artist’s distinctive, text-based visual language. An accomplished printmaker, Ford has made a new suite of monotypes with the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, combining narrative and image in layers of cut-out phrases, scrawled script, and floral forms. Her sculptures delve into architectural space and the legacy of postminimalism, taking the form of platform dance floors at the gallery's center.
