Perrotin's Viewing Salon is pleased to debut On Monuments, on view from October 12 through October 26th. This marks the first presentation to survey projects that address artist Ivan Argote's exploration of and commentary on the legacy of colonialism in historic cities across Europe and the Americas, featuring sculpture, video, and photography, as well as installation-based artworks. For nearly a decade, the Bogota-born and Paris-based artist has been interested in the public performance of history; and more specifically how monuments mediate power and memory through the built environment.
