This solo exhibition features a major work "STATION", which draws inspiration from Hewish's transformative journeys along the Portofino coast and to Kyoto, influenced by Hiroshige's Japanese woodblocks. Across 24 panels, "STATION" challenges traditional notions of art-viewing, encouraging a profound engagement with scale, time, motion, and space.
Dive into the diverse art forms of drawing, painting, and sculpture, as Hewish's enigmatic creations explore the realms of ecology, site, studio, and the line. His work, a dance between archaism and lyricism, invites viewers to contemplate each object's sumptuous materiality.
