Skarstedt is delighted to re-open our London gallery on Monday 12th April 2021 with the exhibition titled Painter/Sculptor. The exhibition brings together works by nine eminent artists who are noted for their mastery of both media.
A painter conjures an illusion of space on the canvas, which nonetheless remains physically impenetrable. Sculptor's work, on the other hand, enters the world of the viewer with the palpable immediacy of bodily presence.
Presenting paintings and sculptures by Georg Baselitz, George Condo, Eric Fischl, Alberto Giacometti, KAWS, Martin Kippenberger, Willem de Kooning, Jeff Koons, and Dana Schutz, the exhibition highlights some of the key moments of post-war and contemporary art.
