Wilde is honored to invite Galerie Allen and artists Linus Bill + Adrien Horni to exhibit in its Geneva space. The young Swiss artists Linus Bill + Adrien Horni (born 1982) have been working together since 2011. With a background in graphic design (Horni) and photography (Bill), they published La deuxième chance in 2011. Most of this volume, composed of 434 unique works, was created using a black and white copy machine. Seeking to distance themselves from this early work, the Biel-based artists constantly experiment with new vocabularies. They chose painting as their choice medium, always searching for the ideal technique to shift from small to large formats and from print to monumental canvases. Their creative process combines pictorial and digital visual languages, with printed elements that they digitalize and transform using image processing softwares. They ping-pong each other these images, leaving ample room for the unknown. Bill and Horni's work deals with questions of hierarchy and value of images, while questioning the very chronology and heredity of an artwork, or else said, the link between their past and present productions. In their search for the "real painting", the artists are in constant evolution and shape their own history to the rhythm of their canvases. Linus Bill + Adrien Horni have produced a catalogue on the occasion of their exhibition at Wilde.
