Print shops play an indispensable role in the production of graphic art. Creative printers have enabled pioneering innovations for many an artistic oeuvre and art history in general. In the coming years, our gallery – specialising in prints for over 150 years – would like to invite various print shops to present their past and present works.
Wolfensberger Lithographic Printers, founded in 1902 and based in Zurich, is THE address for artists; Cuno Amiet, Ferdinand Hodler, Oskar Kokoschka as well as contemporary artists Shirana Shahbazi, Fischli/Weiss or Douglas Gordon have printed here. Artists and print shop work closely together to create rare original prints using the classic technique of lithography as well new methods of planography.
We are happy to invite you to the exhibition/opening – and to help you with any kind of questions about our upcoming auction sales. from 1969 to 1978.
