Goodman Gallery is delighted to present Testimony, Sue Williamson's solo exhibition as part of Art Basel's OVR: Pioneers. The platform honours up to 100 trailblazing artists who have broken new aesthetic, conceptual, or socio-political ground.
This exhibition spans the artist's seminal 1990s series through to recently completed work and runs alongside her debut UK solo exhibition at Goodman Gallery London.
Part of the generation that challenged the apartheid regime, Williamson has been working consistently since the 1970s dealing with South Africa's painful struggle to democracy and its aftermath. Recent exhibitions include "Resistance Global(e)" Centre Pompidou (2020) and Push the Limits at Fondazione Merz (2020). Her work is currently on view in the MoMA Collection redisplay.
