Paula Cooper Gallery is pleased to participate in Art Basel's OVR: Pioneers with a historic group of works by Claes Oldenburg & Coosje van Bruggen. On view in the gallery's presentation are exemplary works of sculpture and works on paper centered around the artists' fascination with the simple and evocative forms of the ice cream cone, the popsicle, and the alphabet. Together, these works chart Oldenburg & van Bruggen's progression from ideation, to human scale, to monumental artworks.
