SET ESPAI D'ART is pleased to invite you to the exhibition "Geometry as constructive dialogue", with which the gallery celebrates fourteen years programming in its Xàbia (Alicante) venue. The exhibition, curated by Román de la Calle, provides an intimate dialogue between the works of Andreu Alfaro (València, 1929 - Rocafort, 2012) and those of Lukas Ulmi (Lucerne, Switzerland, 1958).
"It is a question of the dialogue between two practices, always complex, in between, both of a complete lightness and subject to complex syntax, based on the calculated elegance of geometric forms and never far removed from certain degrees of consubstantial and essential ambiguity, with which, in each case, the obligatory presence of the spectator must be handled. Geometries, therefore, promotors of gazes and of shared intonations. A didactic way of putting, in fact, in question the reading strategies of the images.
Undoubtedly, it is an eloquent way of emphasizing how, through intergenerational diachrony, artistic codes, strategies involved, forms, methodologies, materials, experiences and constructive realization procedures can be transmitted, combined and redefines, mutatis mutants."
