IAGA ContemporaryArt as the honour and the pleasure to present a selection of artworks by the young italian artist Silvia Inselvini, pursuance and development of the previous exhibition made in 2017, Eadem Mutata Resurgo.
For the event, IAGA presents the result of the artistic research pursued by the artist about the concepts of time, processuality, and gestures, made with accurate precision and attention.
The artist, using various techniques, continues her research, achieving extremely poetic results, at the borderline between the arts.
Artist Poetics and research
The exhibition is dedicated to the conceptual artist Silvia Inselvini, with whom IAGA has selected the works for the show.Othe works, most of them, have been specially created by the artist for the exhibition, pursuing her unique poetic visual research.
Silvia Inselvini's poetics, mainly rotates around the idea of time and its uninterrupted flowing, combining this idea with the typical gestures that characterizes her works.
Each of her works is characterized by the concentration and attention dedicated by the artist, and this carefulness emerges in each of her artworks, regardless of the material, dimensions, or of the position in the space.
Extract from the critical essay by Ilaria Bignotti
“And this is where the extraordinary result appears: throughout this continuous distance between action and repetition, focus and deepening into her personal work, Inselvini creates works with an intense evoking power and a veryhigh formal perfection.
Works that are extremely elegant, of a remarkable poeticism, objects to contemplate, small and big treasures that, by being here, are stopping on a wall, are rolling, are drawing the environment, are telling us about their slow birth into this world, sign after sign, tissue after tissue, folding after folding, in an act that creates and, simultaneously, dissolves.Inselvini’s works might persist in time in an indefatigable reiteration or to stop after a while: the high concentration of Inselvini’s research is expressed with power, both in small and in big format, both in the creation of the environment and in the element that is caught on the wall.” Silvia Inselvini Short biography
