CIRCLE is an exhibition organized by IAGA contemporary Art Gallery featuring the works of Daniel Krysta in a retrospective manner. It highlights the most characteristic elements of artistic expression: matter, light, color or texture. At the same time, it shows how the motive of CIRCLE, so dominating in artist's works, can be used to illustrate and promote truth about reality."
Fascination with the nature of technology is transferred by Krysta onto fascination with the matter of the painting, onto playing in line with his (painting's) rules - which results in in-depth illusion, luring our gaze with realistically delivered details (technical details of boards, wholes, knobs, etc.). Moreover, he wants to convince us that he is able to do that better, because with the ideally programmed painting he can always add his "idea" - his error, his sudden formal and color resolution, include subjective, "generated," painting-like traces of feelings, flickers, hesitated moods, warmth or anxieties expressed through texture, color, roughness of "grain" in the background's structure.
