With the Collection was conceived by David Maljkovic on the occasion of Rijeka's selection as the 2020 European Capital of Culture. Maljkovic applies his signature artistic strategies to reinterpret the museum's collection of artworks in an unconventional and dynamic way, inviting an intergenerational group of artists to contribute through various programs and interventions throughout the city. In addition, Maljkovic invited graphic design and visual communications students from the master's program at Werkplaats Typografie in the Netherlands to make a visual identity for the project based on the museum's collection. In March the students will participate in a workshop organized by What, How and for Whom/WHW Academy and several alumni and students of the Rijeka Academy of Applied Arts.
