New artworks from 2020 and artworks from the Visual reading series, News series, Trace Series, Material Talking series and Paper Surrounding series.
The artworks are available for purchase
Wu Yiqiang, born in 1970 in China, is graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Yunnan Arts University. Explores are based on the paper media such as newspaper, magazine, promotional leaflet, religious texts, by tampering, tearing, pinching and reconstructing the paper media.
He puts forward the concept of low-carbon environmental protection. All the works use "abandoned" paper media; as long as there are "colored materials" of the paper media, everything is possible.
WU Yiqiang: "Environmentally friendly and low-carbon art creation will never end. The Chinese environment has reached a critical moment, and the contemporary art world needs me."
He does not care about the complete unity of the technique; it is abstract but functionally destroyed to form a "misread", it is conceptual but not the concept as a full display; it is an installation but there is an illusion on the plane.
