First held in 2019, artKYOTO is an art fair which is held at world heritage and cultural asset sites, and where artworks carefully selected by galleries and art dealers from both within and outside of Japan are exhibited and sold. The event features a collection of art from a diverse range of genres including antique art, crafts, modern art, and contemporary art, blending art together in harmony with historical buildings to create an extraordinary space. The event also places focus on attracting inbound tourists, and continues to communicate the potential of art to world from Kyoto, which served as the capital of Japan for over 1,000 years.
