Sorayama has been depicting robotized works of creatures including both terrestrial and aquatic animals, and dinosaurs since the 1980s. Sorayama commented that the dinosaurs were "childhood idols", as he still has interest and enthusiasm for them as he had. The exhibition includes the paintings depict Stegosaurus, Raptor, and Triceratops as robots, and sculpture of robotized Tyrannosaurus originated to the painting by Sorayama.
The images of some works in the exhibition will be reproduced in the collaborative T-shirts with "Jurassic World," the movie that depicts the world where human and dinosaur coexist, which will be on sale at UNIQLO "UT" in March, 2021.
We welcome viewers to take this opportunity to engage with the artist’s works.
