Ota Fine Arts is delighted to present "Night Falls", a solo exhibition by Chinese artist Chen Wei. Chen presents an installation work comprising of ten LED boards this time, three years after his last exhibition in Japan. Chen was inspired by neglected LED advertising boards in the streets of Beijing, which continuously spread information such as recruitment notices and product names, reflecting the accumulated dreams and desires of people and also the subconscious mind of urban dwellers. The new LED series we present this time is positioned across the gallery, resembling the landscape of Chinese cities which never stop expanding. In the dark space, the rhythmical dance of light on the LED boards appear to entice viewers ceaselessly and also encourage them to fully experience the installation from different angles.
