ABSTRACT :
Persons Projects (formerly TaiK Persons) is a contemporary art gallery located in Berlin Kreuzberg, in close neighborhood to the Berlinische Galerie and the Jewish Museum. Founded in 1995 in Helsinki, Finland and relocated to Berlin in 2005, the gallery is specialized in modern Nordic art with a focus on conceptual photography. It originated as a site specific virtual experimental gallery that eventually evolved into the primary platform for the Helsinki School – a selected group of artists associated with the University of Art and Design in Helsinki, Finland. Since the merging of TaiK Persons Gallery with ZAK | BRANICKA in 2019, Persons Projects is representing a very singular and selected group of established and emerging artists from Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Poland, and the US. Yet, they are not primarily defined by nationality or discipline, but by their shared artistic approach that is based on both working conceptually and with the photographic process as a tool for thinking.

Persons Projects is pleased to announce its summer exhibition Tensional Integrities. This exhibition brings together a group of artists who infuse into their works through their use of line, sound, space, and color to form a condition of visual and physical harmonious tensity. This presentation represents five distinctly different material approaches in how they pursue their own narratives in exploring their innate sensibilities.

country : POLAND
city : WARSAW
abstract :Marcin Jasik, born in 1990 in Warsaw, visual artist, painter, author of objects and sculptures. Graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He earned the diploma in the field of painting in the studio of professor Wojciech Cie?niewski with a sculpture specialization in the studio of professor Jakub ??cki. He took part in many individual and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 2022, he was a finalist in the STRABAG Artaward International in Vienna, Austria. The artist's works are in private and institution collections such as the Svetlik Art Foundation, STRABAG Artcollection and the Mbank Collection.
Marcin Jasik's paintings are a constant search in the area of the painterly language of abstraction. The artist draws inspiration from both his own experiences and the history of painting, by re-processing iconic images or motifs. What is visible in his works is free, intuitive utterance, however, guided by a conscious system of meanings and logic forms. These seemingly contradictory forms emphasize the narrative structure in pictures. The final result is a clear composition with which the artist asks questions about the nature of human existence.

country : FINLAND
city : HELSINKI
abstract :Niko Luoma has played a key role internationally for the past twenty years with his experiments in photographic abstraction, combining multiple exposures on the same negative by using light as a raw material. His uniqueness is based around his system-based experiments where the negative becomes a record for its own realization, for the compositions of overlapping planes of color and dimensionality. His analogue working method incorporates the properties of chance into the process of his working, using it as fuel to enhance his attraction to the unknown. Influenced by order, structure, constitution and modification of space and the ideas of sound, flux and velocity.
He is represented in the international collections, including those of Finnish National Gallery (Helsinki, FI), Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art (Helsinki, FI), Danish National Museum of Photography (Copenhagen, DK) and Borusan Contemporary (Istanbul, TR). His monographs “And Time Is No Longer an Obstacle” was published by Hatje Cantz Verlag in 2012 and “For Each Minute – Sixty-Five Seconds” was published be Hatje Cantz Verlag in 2021.
