| Sotheby’s second sale of Boundless: Contemporary Art achieved a sale total of HK$34.69 million / US$4.45 million. The market responded enthusiastically to a diverse offering of contemporary Western and Asian works of art, ranging from design pieces and light installations to sculptures and paintings. Western works by Anselm Kiefer, Marc Quinn and Georges Mathieu were well-received by collectors from Asia and ranked among the top ten sold, while works by Asian artists such as Zao Wou-Ki, Cai Guo-Qiang and Tschang Yeul Kim also achieved solid prices. |
