For Frieze Los Angeles 2023, Night Gallery is proud to exhibit new works by JPW3, Marcel Alcalá, Brie Ruais, and Melanie Schiff. The presentation centers around the interrelation between natural phenomena and human gesture, taking particular interest in how the body exists in space: movement, physicality, and ecology are central concerns. Each artist considers form beyond mortality, their approaches animated by an ethos of reincarnation: rather than a finite experience that begins then ends, life is framed as a continuum and humans as constituent parts of an imperfect whole.
