Booth BD06
For the inaugural ART SG, we are excited to announce a two-person booth by Liam Gillick and Zhou Li.
This presentation brings together two very different practices, equally committed to the development of contemporary abstraction. Both artists have attained international recognition for their expansive approaches to art, both of which enrich and deepen the potential for painting, sculpture, public art and education.
Zhou Li looks toward nature and traditional landscape painting, both Chinese and western, to generate lyrical studies of light, reflection, shadow and spacial dissolution. In contrast, Liam Gillick draws on the built environment, redeploying materials of contemporary urban architecture to create works that push minimalist abstraction into a new and pressing conversation.
