Galerie du Monde will present a diverse group of six postwar artists whose practices explore inherited traditions and cultural identities through new expressions and techniques. Covering multiple generations from the 1960s to the present, featuring the pioneer ink artist from Taiwan’s Fifth Moon Group – Fong Chung-Ray; the lyrical abstract painter from Spain – Juan Uslé; Australian hyperrealism artist – Juan Ford; German conceptual artist – Michael Müller; and two young emerging artists that challenge our perceptions through multimedia – Wu Chi-Tsung from Taiwan and Canadian Chinese artist Crystal Liu. In the Salon sector, we will present young Portuguese artist Filipe Cortez’ new painting from his Memory after Memory series.
