📝 Exhibition Description:
Galerie Eva Presenhuber presents silence, a curated booth by Ugo Rondinone.
silence brings together the gallery's artists in a dense, salon-style hanging, where individual voices coexist in a collective landscape. Works from different generations, materials, and artistic languages enter into dialogue, creating a multiplicity of expressions, perspectives, and unexpected encounters.
At the centre stands a solitary red black nun. Monumental yet vulnerable, its presence offers a counterpoint to the abundance of images surrounding it. While the works on the walls reach outward, each asserting its own distinct voice, the nun turns inward, embodying a space of contemplation.
Silence and voices are not opposites, but two interdependent forms of presence. One gives expression to the world; the other creates the space in which it can be received. In the visual intensity of an art fair, the installation invites a moment of stillness, where looking becomes listening. Silence is not the absence of voices, but the space that allows them all to resonate.
